In reply to: How to remove background of TN3 gallery in Graphene theme
December 14, 2012 at 12:22 pm #34285Hi Josh,
Thanks and yes, definitly I will put it in the showvcase especially because I find you guys very efficient. Thanks for the good job at help us. I’m a beginner in the css universe and your dedication is really appreciated. Ok, so What I would like to do is to get rid of the grey area and being able to resize the black area( background). I say resize because I’m not sure yet how will be the final layout, so I would like to be able to hide it for now, this way if later on I decide to get the background again i just will have to change the size. I hope you’ll understand what I’m saying? This will be easier if I could send you an image of the idea of what I want to do. I Have tried to do these changes in the firebug but the problem I enconter is that when I change size of the black area the picture also disappear, it seems that the picture and the black area are one only container! Also when I have tried to take out the grey area, the picture goes completly to the right and the filmstrip end up on the top of the menu on the top of the page. I got in touch with the people from TN3 but didn’t really resolve the problem.
Please tell me if I could send you and image of what I would like to do with the layout which will make the understanding way easier.
Thanks again.
Thank you so much Prasanna!
Thanks a lot Prasanna, it works just great. I would like to ask one more thing, in the same page I end up reducing the size of the picture a bit, just for this page and of course the image is not centered (height) anymore. I have tried this code but it doesn’t work:
#post-122 .aligncenter {
display: block;
margin-top:80px;
}I know the 80 are correct as I saw in the fire bug…
Thanks for your help.
I almost forgot, i would like to be able to take the title just for some galleries and not all of them,
Thanks ahead.
Thank you Prasanna,
This is a very good news, a very nice plus for the graphene theme especially for beginners!
cheers
Prasanna,
Could you tell me one thing? the people from Tn3 says that to custom edit the skin of the gallery I have to edit in the css file which has to be done externly but I see that you can edit through the custom edit of the Graphene them. Now I;m confuse. can I edit everything in the custom edit of the graphene theme or it is only certain thing that can be done?
Sorry Prasanna,
You’re right , it must be an optical effect!
Dear Prasanna,
Still, it is a little bit more on the left side compared to the header, weird! isn’t it?
…
Hello Prasanna,
Thank you for the background , this is resolve but the container of the gallery is definitly not center. My theme has been set to 1100 of width and I had set the gallery to the same size since I’m planning to get rid of the background to keep my images to the original size(800px). I have resized to 1000px the gallery to see if it resolve the centered problem but it is still the same. If you go back to the website link you will see that is completly to the left!
Any suggestion?
thanks
Olivier
