In reply to: Help with sub pages titles – looking for either solution.
May 23, 2012 at 9:02 pm #28634I downloaded openoffice, I couldn’t export as HTML, but have managed to export as PDF, and ended up with this

Pretty happy with that, and the links work, just need to save them as ‘open in new window’
Thanks for help on that.
Looking forward to your reply on the excerpt stuff.
Thanks

May 23, 2012 at 4:44 pm #28633Just another thing about the excerpt, On your test blog the words in the excerpt, are different from the blog post. While I use the display:none code, to hide the excerpt writing from the blog, how to I hide writting in the blog from the excerpt. For example, I don’t want “download it here” on the excerpt (copy below), and if I go down the open office route I would want to customise what goes in the excerpt.
Postion: Number 8/Blinside Flanker,
Club: Scarlets,
Age: 26,
Height: 192cm,
Weight: 112kg. Download it here
Thanks

May 22, 2012 at 9:19 pm #28630Thanks for your reply, It has nothing to do with the google doc,
The excerpt is taken from the information hiden by the “display none” code, as I do not want to repeat what is written on the google doc. Do the excerpt is not being taken from the google doc
However, the excerpt will not read HTML for colour changes or line breaks.
While I could type the information straight into WP, it have about 90 powerpoint slides. Ideally I would have coverted it into HTML and copied it to WP, but I could not do it in Powerpoint 2010.
If I find a 2007 powerpoint to convert the files into HTML, do you think you will be able to change the excerpts?
Thanks

May 22, 2012 at 4:41 pm #28628Thanks for the reply, but this has not solved the problem.
Please refer to the website links
The blue box in the middle ‘Mat Gilbert – Postion: Number 8/Blinside Flanker, Club: Scarlets, Age: 26, Height: 192cm, Weight: 112kg. Download it here’
http://www.insiderugby.co.uk/blog/?page_id=198
That is controlled by what is typed on this page
http://www.insiderugby.co.uk/blog/?page_id=1427
It must be something in the CCS, Any coding done in the edit of http://www.insiderugby.co.uk/blog/?page_id=142 does not effect what is shown in the mentioned places on http://www.insiderugby.co.uk/blog/?page_id=198
Thanks Prasanna, Legend
Thanks for your answer. I currently don’t have anything in my Custom CSS, so not sure where the clutter is.
Your answer isn’t what I was after tho, I would like to center the bar underneath the header image (Black background, white writting). It is currently left alinged.
If you could help that would be great
Thanks
Thanks for both answers. I just needed to reload the header image as suggested my Syahir.
Thanks again
