Thank you, of course I should’ve checked the plugins. It was the SEO Facebook Comments plugin that was the culprit

I have theme default on all pages. So every page should be identical. Any new page that I create today will not display the sidebar widgets, it will create the space for it but no widgets.

And I do not have frontpage widgets enabled
