OK! I figured it out (I think?). The first “page” you see when you click on View My Site (in Admin mode) in WP is not actually the first REAL PAGE in WP. If you click on Home or any actual PAGE – the header image shows. It’s just that first view that doesn’t show the image. Hope that helps the Original Poster… Sure helped me. I don’t think that is the way it is SUPPOSED to be – (it’s not like that on my other Graphene site) but that solved hours of angst for me. Good luck.

Well – I don’t think this is how Graphene is MEANT to work – but I selected the image I wanted in my header to be the featured image on the Home PAGE – and now it shows up on all pages. There must be a setting somewhere that made the theme REQUIRE a featured image to be set somewhere??? At any rate – maybe this will help you, Sceptre8, until a real answer comes along?

I am having the same problem with a brand new install of Graphene 1.9.3 on a site where neither WordPress or Graphene have ever been. I’ve spent HOURS trying to fix it. I have another site with Graphene and no problem. I’ve pretty much wasted the day on this one issue. PLEASE help!! And, unfortunately, it is on a site that is under development (not published) so you can’t see it. Just trust me – the header image will not show up (it shows up in the header setup page – but not on the “published” page).
