Thanks Kenneth for those precisions. I have seen that codex page, however I don’t really understand how to use it. A few explanations on the lines that Syahir gave me would be most welcome to help me understand the matter.
I completely understand if this goes beyond the support you can provide, even though developpers are kind of heroes for me, I know they need to sleep from time to time :-).
Support for this theme is as awesome as the theme in itself, thanks a lot for the hard work !

Yes ! That works, and is exactly what I wanted. I didn’t get was Prasanna meant just because I had no clue on how to do this, I don’t know php so well and how WP works.
So I have still one problem : now my header is ok, however the “alt” attribute of the image is empty. How can I fill it using also a custom function in my child theme’s function.php.
Also, it would be absolutely great if you could provide some info on how that works, so I can do it by my own next times. I just read some stuff on the WP codex about hooks, but I’m not sure how to identify where there is a hook… Could you please detail this on the lines of code you gave me already ? That’d be awesome !
Thanks a lot,
Thomas
Yes, this is what I did for now. However, as we are discussing it with Ken, this means that I will not get the updates for the header if they are any, as I will be using my own header.php file in my child theme.
As Ken suggests I could check the new versions for any change, but that’s a lot of hassle for one thing, and for the other I’m doing this site for someone else who will not be able to do so.
So my best bet would be to add a function in function.php that strips the image in the header, but I don’t know enough php to do this, so I’m asking if you know what function I can write.
Hope this makes my request more clear, thanks for your patience 🙂
Yes, this is actually what I am doing at this precise minute 🙂
However this means that when the theme updates, I will not get the uptades of the header section if they are any correct ?
Sorry, didn’t see your answer. I know .png can be transparent, that’s why I use it as a background image for my header.
Anyone knows how to remove the default img tag in the header ?
PS: website is http://scuba-college.eu. If you try it now on Android you won’t see the question mark, cause I temporarely solved the problem by putting a fake header image and apply “display:none” to it through custom css. Not a very clean solution though, so I would prefer to completely remove the img tab
Yep it’s a way of looking at things :-). Thought WP has improved its menu features I feel that some obvious features are still missing…
Don’t like that ! Nobody else could have a clue ?
Yes, this is what I already do. However I’m looking for an automatic solution, I want pages to be added automatically in the menu and not do it manually.
