Dear Kenneth,

I tried what you suggested but the result is still the same, looks even more interesting respectively.

I have no idea why it automatically inserts X. Griffin and an email address in the comment function.

This is the URL I used:

It was so much easier in an older version of wordpress.

to open the way they do?

Because that’s what I am trying to do, but I find myself unable (or unwilling at this point) to accomplish that.

I re-posted the pdf on my webpage and the result is this:

When you click on ‘syllabus’, it takes you to another page, and then you can click on the file name (which isn’t supposed to be displayed like that), and then the pdf will (should) open in another window.

Thanks Syahir! I actually ended up installing a plugin and that helped tremendously!

A new problem pops up every day. I just realized that previously uploaded and connected pdfs cannot be opened anymore. I tried to link a pdf in one of my posts, but it doesn’t work the way it used to. Now it links to an entire new site, when before the click on the link either opened up the pdf in another or in the same window, depending on how you defined it. Is this not possible anymore?

I am sorry, but I can’t execute the task.

I located the wp-config.php file in my directory. I downloaded it, opened it in the editor, and tried to change the language value. However, how exactly do I do that? It tells me to go to the folder wp-content/languages to change de_DE.mo. But what do I change it what? The file name into en_EN.mo?

Hi Syahir,

I’ve looked around everywhere but I cannot locate the file. I use filezilla to upload files to the database. I go from subdomains > english (because I have two subdomains) > httpdocs or > httpsdocs, and there I clicked through every folder but I cannot find the file. Any ideas?

You might see that in the slider, there’s a German link “Ganzen Beitrag ansehen”, which simply means “read full article”.

Where in the style sheet can I substitute “Ganzen Beitrag ansehen” with “read full article”?
