WPML Plugin Set Up: What is text domain??

    Hello

    I’m installing the WPML plugin.

At this point, I just want the plugin to translate my website into French from English, made possible from a drop down menu to toggle between the languages.

In setting up WPML, specifically the localization of the plug in,

(http://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/theme-localization/) I have selected: ‘translate using .mo files’. Upon clicking this option, it is asking for a text domain.

What is the text domain I should enter? WP codex doesn’t give much help, neither does the wpml website on this issue.

    Thanks

I don’t know anything about this, but Syahir has a very good video tutorial about setting up your blog in a language other than English:

The text domain for the Graphene theme is simply graphene.

FYI, a text domain is like a designation for each translatable string that allows WordPress to differentiate which string belong to which theme, plugin, or even WordPress itself. It also tells WordPress which translation files to be used for each of the translatable strings.
