WP_Query now more button has disappeared?

    Hi,

    I have a custom static page which is using 2 loops but the posts inside these loops show only the excerpts, which is what I want but the reading more button has suddenly disappeared? How can I get the button back? Unfortunately my site is in maintenance so there is no access to it.
