I have graphene 1.7.2 installed, but there is a message saying that I should upgrade to 1.7.3; however, it carries the frightening warning:
Please Note: Any customizations you have made to theme files will be lost. Please consider using child themes for modifications.
What precisely will be lost? Widgets and plugins that I have installed? Permissions that I have set? Hooks that I am using from the advanced menu in graphene options? If I haven’t done any actual php programming, but just installed plugins and used them to set permissions, etc., do I have to worry? If I have exported my graphene options, is that a good enough backup?
Any explanation of this basic stuff for a complete newbie would be much appreciated. The site is at: HERE. Thanks!
