I really love this theme and have been playing with the homepage panes. I like the way it pulls a thumb of the pictures in the post, but I have two problems.

1. I would really like to have a thumb for video posts in the homepage pane, currently I just get the title of the video post but no sign of the video until you click “read more”. Presumably the excerpt is stripping the html any idea how to rectify?

2. I have some portrait pictures in the homepage pane, leaving a big white space to the right, but the title for the post won’t float into this space it just sits below the picture any way to change how the title/thumb behave in the homepage pane?

WordPress automatically strips html from excerpts. Go to Graphene Options >> Display Options >> Excerpts Display Options. There is a box where you can enter those HTML elements you would like to retain in excerpts.

However, video is video and WordPress does not create a thumbnail of it when it is added to your blog. You will need to create your own thumbnail and add it as a featured image.
