Verification Codings in header

  • rodeboy

I’m just in the process of updating all my websites that use Graphene.

Several of the sites have lines of coding inserted just before the </head> of the header.php to verify the site for affiliate marketing, Bing etc. Obviously if I just update I’ll lose these – can these be incorporated into the Custom CSS area of ‘Graphene Options’, thus removing the risk of losing them at any future update? If so, can I just transfer them there, or do I need to top and tail it with some coding to make sure it goes into the right place?

    Thanks in advance,

You can easily put those verification codes before closing head tag in Graphene theme. Go to Graphene Options –> Advanced –> Custom <head> tags and put your verification codes there. Those codes will be retained in head even after you update the theme.

Thank you Prasanna. I assume that this is new to 1.8, and that’s why I couldn’t find it in my 1.7 version!! Brill.

This theme is so flexible, and seems to do everything, I don’t know why people bother with other themes!!

    Thanks, Chris

Ah! Yes, this feature is introduced in Graphene 1.8. I thought you were using latest version of the theme. 🙂

My fault for not making myself clear!

I appreciate your time in helping me.

Marking thread as resolved. You can do this yourself as well.
