Update H1 Tag to Post Title Only in Single.php

  • myopicmike

    I had run through the source for quite a while and figured out that in order for me to change my Post Title Header Tag from <H2> to <H1>, I need to go into the loop.exe function. The problem comes in now because when I changed to <H1> in my single page view, it also affect my Home page. Now my Home Page is full of <H1> tags due to all the Post Title also amended to <H1> and I think it is not so SEO friendly. Is there a way for me to control this? Both the index.php and loop.exe page is calling the function get_template_part(var1,var2) but I can’t find where is this function for me to further amend.

    Please guide me. Many thanks

    My advice to You is to use CSS code to change any given color, font & fontface in Custom CSS or even better with Child Theme style.css & PHP files. And not change Theme core files. You will notice when You update any WordPress Theme. And soon The Graphene Theme to 1.3 ๐Ÿ™‚

    Well, just one part – here I look at my post headings:

    h2, h2 a, h2 a:visited {
    font-family: georgia,verdana,tahoma,arial;
    font-size: 20px;
    padding-bottom: 4px;

    Yes I know You want another answer, but (sorry) Your font code is totally gone when

    I look at them with Firebug ( http://www.getfirebug.com ). Just my 2 cent advice ๐Ÿ™‚

    Not sure how much effect this will have on SEO really, but I’ve modified the theme so that the post / page titles will be wrapped in <h1> tag instead of <h2> in all singular pages.

    Will be available in the next update.
