Under the new update all my headers are gone!

    I recently redesigned my header to meet the new size requirements for the 2.xx updates. In 2.0.2 they were working, (although the feature image did not take the place of the header when it was the correct size to do so). I just updated and now I have no header on the site and all the social media icons appear vertically in the top bar. Any assistance you can offer would be appreciated. The site is http://randombitsoffascination.com.

    Thank you,

    Looks like you’re using a child theme in your site. Can you post the content of your child theme’s functions.php file here?

    Here are the CSS modifications to the child theme:

    /*
    Welcome to Custom CSS!

    To learn how this works, see http://wp.me/PEmnE-Bt
    */
    body, button, input, select, textarea, .site-description, #cancel-comment-reply-link {
    font-family: “Open Sans”, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
    }

    h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, blockquote, .comment-author {
    font-family: Georgia, Times, serif;
    }
    .entry-content img{
    border:0px solid #e3e3e3;
    margin:5px;
    }
    p {
    text-indent: 10px;
    }
    hr {
    border-color:#000;
    }

    Thanks!

    The 2.0.4 update fixed the issue. Thank you.

    In an earlier questions, I’d asked about the feature image not replacing the header image when sized appropriately. You noted it would be fixed in the next update. That feature is still not working. Is it still planned for a new update.

    Thanks so much for all the assistance.

    It should be working now. What is the size of the image you’re using? Ensure that it is at least 1170×250 pixels. Ensure also the option Disable Featured Image replacing header image is disabled (in Customizer > Graphene: General > Header).

    Thanks so much, the feature is working now, but still a little glitchy. The featured image for my home page is (http://randombitsoffascination.com/) 1170X250, exactly like the header that is set for the rest of the site (http://randombitsoffascination.com/blog-2/) . But the feature image looks like it has been resized on the home page and is cut off along all sides. Any ideas of what might be causing this?

    Looks like the image being used on the homepage is 1170×200 pixels. When you uploaded the image to set as the Header Image, make sure you skip any cropping as it is already the exact size.

    Thanks so much for the response. I checked the original image in photoshop and it is 1170×250, not 11170×200. Not sure why it would be show up at 200 when I inspect the element. If it helps, that image on the home pages is a feature image, not loaded up as a header image.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks so much,

    Try to remove the image and upload it again as the featured image.

    Utterly baffled. I tried resaving and renaming the image file and uploading the new copy. Now it works. Photoshop says the two images, the one that didn’t work and the one that did have exactly the same dimensions. The only difference is the name of the two files.

    No idea why it fixed the problem, but i did. Thanks for all your doing!
