translation problems with comments
-
I’m using Graphene 1.8.2 in the dutch language and have the following problem:
“1 comment” is translated to “1 reactie” –> this is ok
“n comments” is translated to “n comments” –> this is not ok and should be translated to “n reacties”
I have checked the translation file (nl_NL.po) and it seem to be correct in there:
# @ graphene
#: comments.php:50
#: loop-author.php:85
#: loop-post-formats.php:47
#: loop.php:170
#, php-format
msgid “1 comment”
msgid_plural “%d comments”
msgstr[0] “1 reactie”
msgstr[1] “%d reacties”
What problem am I facing here (please check hersendood.com)?
The singular and plural forms for comment(s) and ping(s) count has changed a while ago. But the Dutch language pack hasn’t been updated to address the new terms. Please download these .po .mo files from here and upload both files graphene/languages in your site and let me know if it fixes the issue.
Thanks for your reply!
I uploaded the new files and checked the result.
It is now the other way around, so:
“1 comment” is translated to “1 comment” –> this is not ok and should be translated to “1 reactie”
“n comments” is translated to “n reacties” –> this is ok
Hmm.. Did I forget to translate
%d commentto%d reactie? Let me check it.
