Totally blank page template?

    Hi:

    How would you code a totally blank page template ?

    Is there one around ?

    The template would only show the naked content from the page or post

    Why do something like this?

    I have several instances configured with graphene. Each server has a contact form that I’d like to be able to <iframe> into other servers – either members of a multisite network, and a corresponding facebook app. Since these environs already have branding – the ability to insert “Just the form” would be super-handy.

    Thanks very much,

    Mark

    I don’t know. Maybe just add the loop without footers or sidebars?

    Probably not, because this makes it fairly easy to steal content. But feel free to try this out and see what happens. Are you familiar with creating custom templates in WordPress?

    I looked at the standard way but the particulars of the loop structure of graphene stumped me. When my template-blank.php wouldn’t populate into the page templates – It was clear I wouldn’t get very far without asking for help. Is there a trick to getting the page to appear?

    Use a child theme, and just create a custom page template in your child theme. Say you name it template-custom.php, and then add this into that file:

    <?php
    /**
    * Template Name: Blank template
    */
    the_post(); the_content();
    ?>

    This part:

    /**
    * Template Name: Blank template
    */

    is necessary so that WordPress recognises it as a custom template file.
