Disable "this website uses cookies"

  • ameljor

I have ‘this website uses cookies’ and would like to remove this. I think I am going mad, as I have been looking for where I ticked this to display, and I can’t find it anywhere, I have been looking for ages! Where did it go? Is the option still there?

    1) You have disabled right-clicking, which makes is annoying, as it makes it difficult (not impossible) to diagnose these things. This is like going to the doctor, but not letting him take your temperature. (FWIW, this does not make it impossible to steal your content.)

    2) If your server is located in the EU, you need to maintain that message to stay in compliance with EU cookie regulations (which are ridiculous). If your server is not located in the EU, you can probably get rid of it.

    3) This does not appear to be a theme option (although that is possible—Graphene, and WordPress in general—is very extensible, and in a variety of ways). It appears to be a plugin. However, because you have disabled right click and I can’t be bothered to disable it on your site, I can’t tell for sure. (See #1). So check your plugins to see if you have some sort of EU cookie plugin enabled. If so, disable and delete it.

    Thanks for your reply.

I have disable the right click, but I am still confused as to where I indicated to have the cookies banner showing.

I can remember seeing something saying to tick if you wanted cookies showing, which I did. I thought it was from the Grapheme Options, I must be wrong. I am not sure what EU is?

    Fixed it!!! 🙂
