    Hurm…I don’t quite get what you want to achieve. Can you clarify a bit further?

    hi,

    here it goes again:

    i want to use the slider on the home page. however, i want to do away with the posts that come below the slider on the home page. i do not want any posts below the slider.

    basically, i am creating a website and i do not want to have a blog look where posts are displayed on the front page. thanks.

    You can create a static front page. Please follow the instructions here on how to set it up: http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page

    If you don’t want any content, you can just use an empty page as the static front page.

    I have followed the Codex instructions, and set up a new static home page. However now the slider on the home page is broken, and it looks like it is trying to turn it into a blog post (shows comments etc…)

    The slider is showing this:

    (function() { var s = document.createElement(‘SCRIPT’), s1 = document.getElementsByTagName(‘SCRIPT’)[0]; s.type = ‘text/javascript’; s.async = true; s.src = ‘http://widgets.digg.com/buttons.js’; s1.parentNode.insertBefore(s, s1); })(); TweetSharebar (function() { var s = document.createElement(‘SCRIPT’), s1 = document.getElementsByTagName(‘SCRIPT’)[0]; s.type = ‘text/javascript’; s.async = true; s.src = ‘http://widgets.digg.com/buttons.js’; s1.parentNode.insertBefore(s, s1); })();

    Is the slider not compatible with the Sharebar plugin? Or is there something else going on?

    Thanks!!!!

    URL?

    You can find out if the Sharebar plugin is compatible or not by temporarily turning it off. Flush your caches and reload the page. If the problem is gone (or different), then yes, it’s incompatible.

    It looks like it was the Sharebar plugin…. I turned it off and the slider now shows the correct text… Do you know of any way to fix this? (i.e. move the “location” of the sharebar code on the page so the slider doesn’t pick it up?)
