Smooth Slider

I am trying to create 3 sliders on in the footer widget area to display 3 different categories. If I understand correctly, Graphene uses Smooth Slider. In the Smooth Slider documentation it says you can create short code, for example these are the shortcodes I would like to use:

    [smoothcategory catg_slug=’workshops’]

    [smoothcategory catg_slug=’actions’]

    [smoothcategory catg_slug=’news’]

Can anyone tell me how I would go about this in Graphene? If you want to see an example of what I mean, I entered the shortcodes as footer widget text: http://www.pitlarson.com/InstituutParklane

Short codes doesn’t get executed in text widget on a vanilla installation of recent WordPress releases.

Thanks for the reply Prasanna. I was aware about the text widget, that was only for an example to show how I wanted them. I think the pllugin WP Category Post List Widget is going to work for this, though it won’t be quite as nice as your slider.
