Slider image is not clickable at IE
-
Hello,
I truly love this theme and still in learning how to conquer it. However, I find the slider in home page doesn’t work correctly in IE.
I took a look at your sample site which behaves the same. Slider title is clickable but not the image itself. Since it works fine with Chrome. It should be a bug.

Yes, but it’s an IE bug, not a Graphene bug. Graphene works fine in real browsers, but IE is a mess. (It’s getting better, but it’s still a mess.)

This is the same issue as with the header image link. It has to do with how IE handles empty
<a>
tag which isn’t in line with all the other major browsers. I’ll fix it for IE in the next update.I reverted theme to version 1.7 and it behaves correctly. Isn’t it a new issue after 1.7.2?

Not really sure what you mean by this.
Warning: Micro-rant follows
The point is that TPTB at Microsoft refuse to recognize that their browswer (MSIE) should follow the same web standards as other standards-compliant browsers.
This is not a bug in Graphene.
This is not even a bug in MSIE, since it is supposed to act this way.
This is a bug in the brains of people who develop MSIE. I, for one, refuse to keep jumping through their hoops. Instead, I educate my readers about better browsers. (See my blog for the link.)
I mean, sir, the older version doesn’t have this problem. Therefore…
But I understand now and truly thanks for your reply.
Cannot find how to end this thread since your answer generally resolved my question:)
