Slider Caption – just the page name

    Hi

I have been using WordPress for a week and changed my theme to Graphene yesterday. At the moment, the slider is set to the last four posts from my blog which works fine on a computer but in the mobile version, the words completely obscure the picture. Is there a way to just display the blog post name and not show the page text?

    Thanks in advance.

You can turn off the slider text through Appearance > Themes > Customize > Graphene: General > Slider, and tick the option that says “Disable slider caption”.

However, looking at your site, those slider text do give good context on what the photo is about. Perhaps instead of turning of the captions, you might want to shorten the captions a bit so they won’t cover the image.

You can create your own captions that are separate from the main body of the the post via the “Excerpt” field for the posts.

Thank you. With increasing the slider height on mobile devices, I think we can still leave the full caption but if we have any long ones, we can use the excerpt.
