Slide panel :: amount of data that can be displayed
-
Graphene Mobile Neo Version: 1.2.1
There seems to be a browser-specific problem with the amount of data that can be displayed using the slide panel.
The stock internet browser on my Galaxy phone will not display all the data. It just truncates part-way.
Firefox does manage to display it all.
AdminI’ve visited your site on both the stock Android browser and Firefox for Android, and both are showing the slide-out panel correctly. You can actually vertically scroll the slide-out panel independently of the content area of the site.
For testing purposes, have put numbers in the slide panel menu (there are 22 items).
I only need to make it work with the Stock Browser. I tried the other browsers to provide clues for debugging the problem.
Only Firefox displays all 22 items in the list.
Stock browser only displays 12 items. Actually it stops at 10 items until clicked near the bottom of the black part of the list.
Dolphin displays 12 items. Opera Mini displays 8 items.
I am using Android Gingerbread 2.3.6 on a Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 phone model number GT-I8160.
Stock Internet browser v2.3.6
Firefox browser v20.0
Opera Mini v7.5.1
Dolphin Browser v9.3.2
AdminHere’s how it’s displayed when I visited your site using the stock Android browser:
On my phone the list stops at number 12; on yours it stops at 22 (which is correct).
Can you please tell me the version of the stock browser and also of Android that you are using.
AdminThat was tested on the stock browser of Android 4.2.2. Can you scroll the slide-out panel down?
No. When using the stock browser, I cannot scroll the slide-out panel down. When I put my finger on the slide-out panel and scroll it, the whole screen scrolls. However, scrolling works perfectly on Firefox.
My phone is only 3 months old and still being sold in the UK. It uses Android Gingerbread 2.3.6 ( Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 phone model number GT-I8160). Stock Internet browser is v2.3.6.
Re scrolling the slide-out panel down which does not work on the Android Stock Browser 2.3.6.
Are you likely to be able to fix this problem?
There is a large population of current/new phones using Android Gingerbread 2.3.6.
AdminWe’ll look into this, but at this time we can’t provide any estimate on when the fix will be available.
