Sidebar box
-
I’m breaking my head about this and have not found a posting in the forum that helped me out. I have customized the colors of this great theme, to match my “house style” (More or less.) I have two widgets in my sidebar. The thing I’m annoyed about, is the grey-white line around the widgets. See http://www.hdre.nl/wp/
I have found many postings that help control the widget header colors and borders. But NOT the border around the whole widget. How can I change this border, or, better, get rid of it? It’s ugly as it does not match with the main page style.
Any help much appreciated!
OK, impatient as I am, I went into the default style.css and found a section that I suspected would affect this and yes it did! I added this to my custom style:
.sidebar div.sidebar-wrap {
border: 0px solid #000;
-moz-box-shadow: 0 0 0px #000;
-webkit-box-shadow: 0 0 0px #000;
}It made the grey lines disappear!!!!
ModIt looks good! You can also use Firebug to diagnose these things.
My tutorial is here: http://blog.kjodle.net/2011/10/02/using-firebug-to-tweak-your-blog/
And Josh has a good video tutorial here: http://www.joshlobe.com/2011/10/using-mozilla-firebug-to-inspect-css-files/
AdminI got irritated when I see people changing the widget colour but left the borders and shadows on too!
