Show side widgets only on homepage, and expand page width on all others instead?

  • Anonymous

    Hi there,

I have installed the Widget Logic plugin so that widgets only display on the right of my homepage, and I want all other pages to expand the main content column to fit the full width of the container.

What I have however, is a 300px wide empty space on all pages (except homepage) instead…

Do I need to install and configure a child theme to achieve this, or is there a simpler way please?

    Many thanks!

    You don’t need a plugin.

There is a graphene option to allow only the homepage to display different widgets from the rest of the theme.

So, set your default page layout to one-column, no sidebars.

Then, for your homepage set it to two-columns, sidebar on right.

Now, add the widgets to your homepage and the rest of your site will be a one column no sidebar layout.

Thanks, I did as you suggested but I cannot find an option to specify the homepage separately as two-columns; all I can see in Graphene Options>Display is the Column Options section which dictates the entire site. Is the homepage column options hiding somewhere else?

    Thanks for your help!

EDIT: Don’t worry – just found it on the right of the “new page” options. 🙂

Marking thread as resolved. You can do this yourself as well.
