That is probably because IE7 is interpreting the width of something to be wider than it should be. If this is the least of your problems with IE7 (i.e., everything else looks fine), I wouldn’t worry about it.
IE7 is archaic. Encourage your readers to upgrade to IE9 or better yet, Firefox.
