You can disable the listing of posts on the front page from Franz Josef Options > General > Front Page.

As for the misaligned posts, the next update will include Masonry layout which basically fills up the empty vertical spaces and doesn’t require the size of the posts (affected by image size, title length, and excerpt length) to be the same.

Here’s roughly how it’ll look like:

Thanks for the response–hopefully Masonry will solve any problems. Absolutely love this theme otherwise, can’t wait to use it to its full potential. Turned latest posts off for now, thanks for the help.
