…Read More (Using PAGES Instead of Posts)

    We are trying to produce a page that lists details of various training events with teaser text to give the highlights and a “…Read More” to then open the page containing the full event and booking details.

    The WP help pages all suggest editing the code but with the frequency of releases from WP our client is concerned that an update may overwrite the changes.

    Its also suggested that the theme could possibly handle this feature – if its at all possible could you please add it to graphene or suggest another workaround?

    The code (as mentioned in the codex page you linked to) you would be editing would be located in a child theme, not in the main theme files or in the main wordpress files, so no matter how often WordPress or Graphene are updated, your changes would remain.
