radio buttons and extra spacing

  • kortega

On 2 plugins, I am experiencing automatic radio buttons appearing and automatic double spacing. The plugins look fine in all other themes I have looked at, except Graphene….but I really like everything else about this theme and hope I can use it!

The two plugins are WP-Filebase and Spider FAQ.

When I activate the Graphene theme, any pages that use the WP-Filebase or Spider FAQ become double spaced and a blue radio button appears in the newly created space.

Unfortunately, this site is an Intranet site, without access to it from the outside world. I’m fairly new to WordPress, so I am not sure where to start looking. I can send anyone any files they need, just let me know where to find them.

This sounds like something you could take care of with custom CSS. Have you installed Firebug to identify where this extra space is being generated from?

Moved to Support. Please post in the correct section next time.

So, by trial and error…probably not the best way to go about it, but without much knowledge re CCS, I went through the style.css of each of the plugins and added !important to the lines that dealt with posts…and voila! It worked. Perhaps now it is time to pick up a book and learn more about css! (and hope that by adding !important to the lines, I didn’t screw up anything else!)

Keep in mind that your changes will be overwritten when you update those plugins. For best results, find the lines you changed and copy them to a child theme stylesheet.
