Problems with using Custom Forms with Graphene
AnonymousFebruary 10, 2011 at 4:42 am #442
I am trying to use custom form with Graphene by placing it in the sidebar widget.
I have all the nusope0.9.5 “lib” files and all of the form php files uploaded in the same /public_html/ document root directory of my website. As soon as I did that I ended up with not functioning site.
The problems is:
-non of my pages work but the homepage. I click on any of the page tabs but after the reload it still redirects to the home page.
I have also tried placing the form inside a page but it still does the same thing.
Even if I do not place the form.php file anywhere on the website it still makes no difference – it keeps displaying only the index (home) page.
I have done the whole process 3 times now and still getting the same result.
The whole set up works with other websites that are non-wordpress based but not when I am trying to use it with wordpress and Graphene
Any suggestions please?
P.S. By the way I love the Graphene theme and that is why I am trying to make it work.Admin
You can’t simply use any php libraries without at least writing some code to make it work with WordPress. If all you want to achieve is to set up and use custom forms, there are a lot of plugins that work with WordPress, such as Contact Form 7 and CForms.
Thank you for your reply.
But I still have the problem.
How do I get my pages to function again? Why the website stopped functioning after I uploaded the “lib” and the form php files to the root directory?.
How do I make it work with WP Graphene?
Thank you for your supportAdmin
I ran some tests and when I change the theme Graphene with a different theme everything works fine.
I also remembered that this morning I updated the version of WordPress to 3.0.5 and that is when the website with Graphene theme stopped working.
I am not sure if it is on my end or you need to update the theme. Anyway, I look forward to use your theme as soon as possible.
