Problem with Tables

I just purchase mobile neo a few days ago and am having some problems with tables. I use tablepress to create my tables. I am checking the theme on three different devices all running Android and depending on the device I am seeing different results. The devices are a phone with 4” screen, a Kindle with 7” screen and an Asus tablet with a 10.1” screen.

    I setup a test post for demonstration @ http://bestinformationwebsite.com/testing/

First I tried viewing the table with horizontal scrolling turned off on the table.

    1. On the phone the table scrolls fine regardless of orientation.

    2. On the Kindle the table will scroll if the orientation of the device is vertical, if the device is horizontal the table will not scroll.

    3. On the tablet the table will not scroll regardless of orientation.

Next I turned on horizontal scrolling on the table.

    1. On the phone the table scrolls fine regardless of orientation.

    2. On the Kindle the table will scroll if the orientation of the device is vertical column 1 stays fixed, if the device is horizontal the table will scroll but column 1 does not stay fixed (I assume tablepress is allowing the table to scroll not the theme).

    3. On the tablet the table will scroll but column 1 does not stay fixed regardless of orientation.

Make sure the “Auto-classify tables to make responsive” is set to disabled in GM Neo Options > Display > Responsive Tables. Then, add a new class responsive to the table in Tablepress. That will force the first column to be fixed and the rest of the columns to be able to scroll.

On another note, it is quite normal to have different behaviours on different devices. Some features that are needed for smaller screens might not be needed on larger screens, so they are disabled. And vice versa.

    Syahir,

When you say add a new class responsive to the table in Tablepress, is that just adding the word responsive to Extra CSS Classes under table options in tablepress?

    Yep.

    Syahir,

I added the class responsive to the table and removed the check next to Auto-classify tables to make responsive. Results are still the same. If I turn on horizontal scrolling on the table the table scrolls but column 1 is not fixed and if I turn off horizontal scrolling on the table the table will not scroll at all.
