Problem with sidebar background colour change

    Hi – My website is http://babyroutes.co.uk . I currently have an advert in sidebar2 on the left hand side of my page. I want it to display against the all black background of the page without the white background behind it. As it stands it all looks a bit amateurish – I just want the advert floating free on the side of the page.

    After reading other forum topics I am currently trying to achieve this by adding #sidebar2 {background:#000000;} to my custom CSS box under display options. However it is doing nothing.

    I would ideally have liked all the sidebar widget areas to have a black background but some of them do need text to show up in them and it all got a bit complicated trying to change the text to white for just the sidebar lists. I am a beginner with CSS so was painfully slow!

    Would you be able to point me in direction of what I’m doing wrong with the CSS code add on for sidebar 2?

    Many thanks and again, thanks for such a great theme – until now I have got away without changing anything other than in the custom options! Time to take the plunge and expand my horizons though!

    Try this:

    #text-5 div.sidebar-wrap {
    background: none;
    }

    Each of those widgets have their own IDs, like #text-5 in the code above. You can figure out the ID easily by using Firebug add-on for Firefox. Video intro on Firebug here:
