Problem with child pages summary

    Hi All!

    Is there any way to change the short summary that occurs when parent page is displayed?

    Please take a look on screen below. Every child page has icon, summary and ‘read more’ icon. Summary (marked on orange) is just few first statements from child page. I would like to paste there text with custom summary.

    Enable excerpt for pages.

    Plugin – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/pjw-page-excerpt/

    Php code for child-theme’s functions.php. Put this anywhere between opening and closing php tags.

    function excerpt_for_pages() {
    
add_post_type_support( 'page', 'excerpt' );
    
}
    
add_action('init','excerpt_for_pages');
