    Hey Guys,

    I’ve had a look through the posts for a resolution and I have tried a few, but none seem to work… I tried the changing the ‘front page post categories’ from disabled to a category, save and back to disabled, save. Didn’t work…

    I have set up a static front page and have set up for ‘posts’ to show on a blog page. When I nominate a page for posts to show, the posts do not show up and in addition, everything except for the header image and header menu disappears (no widget column, body or footer).

    My site is currently sitting locally and I cannot give a URL, but I will upload it to a test URL if required…

    • Title the first page “Home” (or another name) as your “static” front page.

      1. Set the “Home” template to the default template or any custom template. Do not title your template <tt>home.php</tt> as this could cause a conflict.
      2. Add content you would like to see within the content area of the “Home” page.
      3. Publish the Page.

    • Title the second page “Blog” (or you could call it “News”, “Articles”, etc.). This page will be a place-holder for showing the Posts on your site.

      1. Do not use a custom Page template for this page! <tt>home.php</tt> or <tt>index.php</tt> will be used to generate this page.
      2. DO NOT add content to the Blog Page. Leave it blank. Any content here will be ignored — only the Title is used.
      3. Publish the Page.

    I might have to upload my site to a test URL for people to look at… I am pretty sure I have done that (although I do not know the term <tt>)

    I have done the following;

    > In Settings >> Reading: Set Reading Settings as “A Static Front Page”

    > Published content on the ‘Front Page” (named Primoris Financial)

    > Nominated the “Posts Page” as a page titles “Blog”

    The blog page is blank except for the header and header menu. no content at all… I have published 2 posts to test…

    I have other static pages, if I nominate any other page, all the body content disappears…

    If I view a post directly, everything is there – body and widgets, but nothing is showing up on the ‘blog’ page itself… I’ve also noticed that if I click on the ‘category’ on a post it also shows a blank page…

    I am very new to HTML and even newer at CSS, so I am not sure what I am looking for, if it is an issue in the code… I dare say it is something very simple!

    ..(although I do not know the term <tt>)

    <tt> is just an HTML tag to show text in TeleType font. Somehow it is removed in HTML5. So, bbPress is probably not rendering <tt> tag here..

    Nominated the “Posts Page” as a page titles “Blog”

    Make sure your blog page is empty.

    And check whether default category for posts in Graphene settings is disabled or not.

    “”DO NOT add content to the Blog Page.

    Leave it blank. Any content here will be ignored — only the Title is used. “”

    I wanna build a “blog” – Page with some content above the “blog”..

    Like a slider… and a title..

    The Site:

    ( )

    Then put that information on your “Home” page that you are using for your static front page. Go ahead and create your “blog” page, but don’t worry it. You don’t need to link to it. (The whole point of the blog page is to provide a place on your site that still looks like an ordinary blog, without a static home page. I don’t know if TPTB at WP think this is necessary, but it is a nice option to have.)

    My static homepage with slider, homepage pane, and content that I added (and need to edit):

    My “blog” page:

    If you look below that “Blog” link, you will also see other pages: “Newest Posts” and “Changed Posts”. I created those pages using Kalin’s Post List plugin. Maybe that’s the direction you would like to go:

    Thank You Kenneth for Your quick answer!

    Ubfortunatly i dont understand your solution! πŸ˜‰

    Kalins Plugin is not the way iѸ¿ looking for..

    I’d like to have a “2nd Statik Startpage” with own options and with the behavior of a “standart posts” / “Blog” – Site.. Inkluding Page-Navi.. (older / Newer Posts)

    Maybe something for the wishlist..? πŸ˜‰

    Maybe you want something like this:

    That was accomplished using Graphene action hook widget areas.

    One Column.. but OK.. πŸ˜‰

    You done it with a hook for the widgets over the slider..?

    One Column.. but OK.. πŸ˜‰

    Yup, but I’m not using homepage panes. You could use homepage panes and a slider.

    You done it with a hook for the widgets over the slider..?

    Yes. Here’s a tutorial:

    I think I used the before_content action hook widget area.

    Thank You! GREAT! I use it at one Blog.. Its look like its worx good! πŸ˜‰

    But on my other Blog the first Post – Header (H2 ?) kills the (Blog- ) Site

    and there is no sidebar..

    I deinstall Graphene, inall it again.. the same

    Upload all via ftp = the same..

    Maybe you can have a look..? πŸ˜‰

    PS: i think i used in both sites the same plug-ins…

    I think i cancel Graphene on my Site ../blog/ ..

    its coasts me to much time and nervs πŸ˜‰

    Bur thank You for Your help!

    I am having the same problem. I use a static front page and /blog for the posts. I have isolated the issue, but fixing it causes another problem.

    After searching this forum, I found how to remove the page title from the static homepage by using the following code in the Custom CSS section of the graphene options:

    .post-XXXX .post-title, .post-title a {

    display: none;

    XXXX being the post ID.

    When I have that added to the custom CSS section, the homepage does not show the title, however, it hides the title from the /blog page as well as all category and tag pages. The posts themselves still show the title once they are opened.

    If I delete the code from the custom CSS section, the titles return on the /blog, /category and /tag pages, but the title on the homepage comes back.

    Any ideas?

    Just use this:

    .post-XXXX .post-title {
    display: none;

    Hi Syahir,

    I just tried it and it does not work. The homepage title (Homepage) shows on the static front page.

    I replaced XXXX with the post ID number and nothing else.
