I am having some trouble posting a logo to my header. Could someone help me with the type/format (.GIF, .JPG, .PNG, ect.)and size needed.

This is the error message I am getting.

Warning: imagecreatefromstring() [function.imagecreatefromstring]: Data is not in a recognized format in /home/content/58/7690658/html/wp-includes/media.php on line 254

Well, Im using .png for almost everything on the web. But it look more like some problem in media.php

(You can upload that again) or it might be some catalog rights or simply missing catalogs for your media.

Have You looked with FTP? Can You install a plugin, any will do?

you need to increase memory being used by php
