permalink causing 404 error

    I am currently using:

    Graphene

    By Syahir Hakim

    Version 1.9.2

    WordPress version 3.6.1

The ONLY permalink setting that works is the default. ANY other permalink setting causes ALL inner pages and posts to display a 404 error.

I have tried changing to default, saving changes then changing back to the custom permalink (OR any other permalink setting) that I want to use but ONLY the default will allow browsing to inner pages and posts.

The main page will display on any permalink setting but only the default permalink will allow browsing within the site.

    Any help would be appreciated.

What are these other permalink settings that you are using?

Has there been any progress in fixing this permalink issue??

I have not heard back since answering your last question concerning the other permalinks I am using.

I like the other features of the theme but I will have to use another if this issue is not resolved.

    Thank you.

Well, none of us are experiencing something similar, so it is unique to your site. Looking at the site your profile is linked to, I don’t see it. Can you provide a link to the site where you are experiencing this, and possible include a screenshot of your permalink settings?

Permalinks are a WordPress issue, not a theme issue.

Have you tried disabling plugins to rule out a plugin issue? Have you switched to the default 2012 theme to rule out theme issues?

Do you mean that your permalinks are showing up as “http://www.example.com.com/”?

I meant that I just changed the name of my site in the example I used for this post.

I have tried disabling the 3 plugins that I am using on the site but that does not change the 404 issue with the permalink.

The ONLY permalink that works is the default one.

The site is fairly new and does not have more than those 3 plugins installed……

    1). Akismet

    2). Automatic Updater

    3). TinyMCE Advanced

If you are on an Apache server, you must have mod_rewrite enabled.
