New Type of Slider – non post

Hi Syahir & everyone,

I’m back, have been very busy with work and now that things are quietening down its time to redevelop 🙂

I’d like to know if its possible to have a custom content slider similar to one found on these pages: http://www.geeks2u.com.au/ http://www.acdoctors.com.au/

I tried doing a couple hours of research to see if i can workout the jquery stuff myself but its proving quiet difficult, not sure if your slider can be customized to hold variable text and imagery like these?

And yes these are NOT post that are sliding, they are just content.

Let me know if this is possible as i would love to use this theme to manage the website.

I’ve just downloaded the latest alpha 1.1.4 and it really has gone a long way since 2010 and looking fantastic!!!

I’ve noticed that if you hide the 2nd column the slider becomes 100% wide which would be perfect!! But i still need to have a right column, is it possible to have that as an option?

In case you haven’t updated yet, version 1.1.4 (not alpha) has already been released and available from the WP.org theme repository.

As for the slider, the next version will also full posts to be displayed in the slider, so you can taylor the posts to have the look and content that you want in the slider.

I have to ask… is there any chance that in the header we have a slide, with all images found in /images/header , and to manage the delay?

Nope, but you can use plugins like the Cimy Header Image Rotator to do it. There’s been some discussion about that in this forum. Try search for it.
