New NAV Bar
-
Hi all,
I’ve been searching all over the forum for help on how to create a new menu bar above the header to the left. Basically, I want a simple custom menu above the header to the left, and all the social sharing buttons above the header to the right.
I’m not sure if perhaps the “Secondary menu” could be altered and have it display above the header to the left, but if it can be, it would be great. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I would like to add my picture to my profile account, and I can’t seem to find where to upload the image. Thanks in advance.
ModTake a look at my blog. I have something close to what I think you are describing. Is that what you are going for?
Kenneth,
I have to view it using my iPad cause I’m at work, but I do not see a menu above the header, just the social media icons. Take a quick look here: http://www.johnpaulaguiar.com/, if you see, there’s a menu above the header to the left, and the social icons are to the right on the same section. This is what I want, a custom menu above the header flushed to the left, and the social icons on the same section but flushed to the right.
Anything is possible, the question is, has anybody done this using the Graphene theme? Perhaps using the “secondary menu” and adapting it to show where I want it, rather than under the main nav bar below the header.
ModActually, both of those things can be accomplished by using Graphene’s action hook widget areas.
See this:
