Modifying Page Templates to work with MT Event Calendar
So far I’ve managed to update my site to the Graphene theme with specific modifications to fonts, colors and a few other things using the Child Theme functionality.
Phase two of my site upgrade is to integrate an Events Calendar. After testing a few I went with Modern Tribe’s The Event Calendar. Aside from a few bugs and tweaks associated with a new version that has gone pretty well EXCEPT for one thing.
Individual events are posted using one of Graphene’s page templates. It has been suggested that I used the Default Page Template provided by The Event Calendar plug-in but when I do that the R-sidebar to my theme is pushed beneath the main, center column containing the Event (post) info. The work around is to use page templates provided by my theme (Graphene). This allows the R-sidebar to render correctly, and provides a white background for the Event post (very good) but it incorrectly tries to grab the title of the Event from somewhere that it can’t find, so it displays it as (No Title), and then, after that it grabs the Event data and displays the Event Title correctly.
I want to get rid of the (No Title). It looks like I need to modify the templates-3column.php file, and/or the loop-page.php file. Are those the right files AND, what do I change. I’m only vaguely proficient with CSS and NOT proficient at all with PHP.
Thanks for any help.Admin
Syahir, I am a WP newbie putting together a site for a local non-profit. Would the solution you provide in this thread remove the (No Title) text from my Events Calendar page?
If so, which css file should contain that code? I put it at the end of the style.css and it did nothing. So I am assuming I need to add it to a tribe css (which one), a child (I don’ t have any), or to Custom css in my theme (I have one active hook style added to allow text in my header).
When I inspect the elements, this is what I see:
div id=”post–9999″ class=”post–9999 page type-page status-draft hentry clearfix post nodate”
Below that is h1 class=”post-title entry-title”
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
