    Hi,

I am running the standard graphene theme with child theme for this website and I have just received this email from google:

Fix mobile usability issues found on http://www.ukpreppersguide.co.uk/

    To: webmaster of http://www.ukpreppersguide.co.uk/

Google systems have tested 353 pages from your site and found that 100% of them have critical mobile usability errors. The errors on these 353 pages severely affect how mobile users are able to experience your website. These pages will not be seen as mobile-friendly by Google Search, and will therefore be displayed and ranked appropriately for smartphone users.

*some advice on the following would really be appreciated*

1/ If I purchase and instal the graphen mobile neo will this solve my mobile problem?

2/ Once installed and activated will my ‘desktop’ version still remain and show the same?

    many thanks

I had the same message from Google and it turned out my graphene mobile-smart plugin had disappeared. This plugin is necessary to make the graphene mobile and neo themes work with smartphone browsers. Re-installing that plugin fixed the problem.

There are detailed installation instructions on the graphene website. The answers to your question are (1) yes, the graphene mobile or neo themes when installed according to instructions will automatically show a mobile version of your website to mobile users, and (2) your desktop version will remain the same once mobile or neo are installed BUT DO NOT ACTIVATE the mobile or neo themes. Repeat: DO NOT ACTIVATE them or your desktop site will turn into a mobile site and all your widgets will disappear and the desktop site will have to be rebuilt. (I speak from experience, LOL.)
