Mix and match slider display styles; thumbnail/background image and excerpt and full post content all in one configuration.
May be you can add and option for mix and match by adding a post id area for each and every one of them with some kind of a rand function for randomizing among them.
Just a suggestion and I haven’t found a CSS way to do this yet.
