mail notification not working

    I don’t know if this is a graphene theme problem, a bbpress problem, or a wordpress problem, but mail notification on replies to topics on the following site: http://poetryroundup.us/whup/index.php is not working; I tried installing the email notification plugin, which automatically turns on notifications, and it made no difference. Any suggestions on how to debug this would be appreciated.

    Yeah, e-mail can be a real pain to set up properly. Make sure that you are using the exact settings for your mail server.

    When you set up your email server, make sure that you are not using Port 25 for outgoing mail. That port is generally the default for most mail servers, and it is generally blocked by most ISP’s. Check with your host to see which port you should be using.

    The WP-Mail-SMTP plugin seems to have helped, even though the default settings using php mail() and Port 25 are unchanged. Weird!
