    Hi

    I wasn’t able to find a simple solution to this in the forum so….

    I don’t want to install a child theme. I just want to remove the hyperlink from the words “logged in”. I can’t seem to find the place in the php where the link is generated.

    Even if I could just hide that text it would be fine, but the id I found hid everything including “Leave a Reply”!

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks very much.

    You need to use a child-theme. There is no way to change it by editing parent theme, because it is added by WordPress

    To hide it using CSS

    .must-log-in {
    display: none;
    }

    In case you want to retain it and remove permalink, add this anywhere between opening and closing tags in your child-theme’s functions.php

    function graphene_custom_comment_form_args( $args ){

    $args['must_log_in'] = 'You must be logged in to post a comment.';

    return $args;
    }
    add_filter( 'graphene_comment_form_args', 'graphene_custom_comment_form_args' );

    These two goals are incompatible. Any changes you make to theme files will be overwritten when the theme updates. As Graphene is in active development, updates come often. You will miss out on valuable new features if you don’t update.
