so i used to have my blog on a separate page, and had a static home page.

then i switched and made the posts/blog the home page.

now i want to have a new static home/front page plus have my blog on the site

but when i make the page i want as the static home page, the blog completely disappears.

it is not even on my list of pages to select from any pull down anywhere.

With WordPress you can have either

A blog on the front page

OR

A static front page with a blog on some other page (which you must create).

Graphene gives you the option of Homepage Panes, which will display blog posts beneath the static front page contents.
