Please do NOT code dump. We can see your child theme stylesheet just fine. (You might want to take a moment to read this).

It looks to me like you have permalink issues. There should not be an “index.php” in your url. Read this page in the Codex to see which structure tags are available to you: http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Structure_Tags

Thank you for explaining my errors in posting to this forum. I have to say since this is the only the second time I used this forum. Also, The last. I dont know how important you have to be to get a job helping people for free but, You need some lessons in humility.

#1 I am not someone that asked for help often or easily, so I try what I like to call ” all the dumb **** ” many times before, I ask what, I am sure will be a stupid question to someone who knows what they are doing. The only reason I asked here is because, The last time I did ( the only time I have ever asked anything about this coding thing, of which until 3 months ago i never knew existed. ) the guy that helped me was very good and helped me with a minimal amout of tech speak and no tougue lashing. He also asked me to post some code for him to look at, so I was (mistakenly) thinking that I was speeding up the process by posting the code.

#2 No begging , no whining, are you kidding me. What are we 13 years old, ( no offense if you happen to because you never know on the internet) But really, This might be nothing to you because you know what your doing as well as it is to me because I have a different job and do this for fun. But, I have to assume that there are a lot of people out there on the internet that have their lives wrapped up in thier websites. Quite a few probably are not experts on this. Have a little respect for people, that are out there trying to make a living working hard, instead of robbing us when they lost there jobs at the mill or enron or whatever. They might beg and wine a little, there livilhood could be hanging on those words. Sure that is the exception rather than the rule MAYBE but, you might want to think a little before you react as if your to important to spend a second typing, to help a fellow person with something that you both must care about a little because they care enough to learn and you at least at one time cared enough to teach.

#3 If this was a one time thing that would be understandable everyone has bad days but you took the time to reference the last time you had an attitude. Which by the way I find insulting on so many levels that I wont bother wasting my time listing them all. except 1

    # you didnt even help me. I dont need a link to something I have already look through 20 times I have looked at the code too much. Like with any hard problem sometimes you just need someone to take a look at it and point out the problem. I am sure it is something easy because, It worked at one time. I have the original code saved so I get it that, It has to do with something other, than my specific problem wrong. But I dont know this coding very well and I also am a litlle frustrated. But I didnt signup to help people fix code. You did.

Although, I do know a little about teaching, do to the fact that I have been teaching at the college level for 20 years. If any of my student aids ( i am assuming this is similar to your status in this forum by your attitude) were to act like this rest assured they would be learning a special life lesson I like to teach at moments like this ( it does not include talking down to them, It is a real lesson not a punishment. Hopefully you have a boss or a peer that can help you in this reguard. Let me leave you with this and I trully hope you hear this messaage. “The commercial world is not a forgiving place. You need to temper your obvious intelligence with some humility and honor not just pride.” That sentence has served me well I hope it will do the same for you. I hope this post is not also against the rules. Good Luck To you.

Usually, the only people who exhibit problems with the forum rules are those who practice the attitudes and behaviors we try to discourage. I would think if you had teaching experience, you would respect the forum rules rather than make fun of them.

Troubleshooting errors and code is not something we can give a direct answer. If you look back through forum posts, you will see we often tend to go back and forth until the problem is resolved. Everyone uses the theme differently, and it takes time to isolate the cause of a particular problem.

I dont know how important you have to be to get a job helping people for free but, You need some lessons in humility.

Really?? That is quite the assumption. I take extreme offense to this remark. I won’t get into the specifics, but it is rather disturbing to think someone with teaching experience would make such a comment.

I think it is you, Sir, who could benefit from a few lessons in humility.

How do you expect to learn anything if you lack the necessary skills of collaboration??

Good luck to you as well!

I guess they didn’t see this:

It looks to me like you have permalink issues. There should not be an “index.php” in your url. Read this page in the Codex to see which structure tags are available to you: http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Structure_Tags

The list of available structure tags does not include “index.php”, which is what is causing all the problems. Fix that issue and your slider will work just fine.

Sincere thanks for your support, Josh. I worked 26 hours this weekend, and still made time to peek in on this forum to do what I could to help people. I’m glad that the vast majority of people we work with sincerely appreciate our help, even when we’re not able to provide solutions to all of their problems.

It just goes to show that you can’t make everyone happy.

I hope this post is not also against the rules.

Not as far as I know, but if you don’t like something I wrote on my blog, please comment on my blog, rather than in this forum. Any comment on my blog that isn’t spam gets approved, no matter how much you disagree with me. Thanks.

    Good Luck To you.

And to you as well, although I prefer a willingness to learn and hard work to just plain luck. But to each his own. I understand if the recent economic disasters have been difficult for you, as they certainly have been for me. It would be nice if we could work together, but I certainly understand if you choose not to.

Haha, I feel ya Ken. I work two jobs, raise a three year old by myself, take six hours at grad school, volunteer at a local Boys Haven facility, and then do my computer stuff in my “spare” time. Sleep, you ask?? Hah…. way over-rated!

It just goes to show that you can’t make everyone happy.

You can please some people all the time; all people some of the time; but you can never please all the people all the time!

I just hope it’s not English classes he is teaching. I can’t even begin to explain the headache creeping upon me as I tried to read through the run-on sentences, the grammatical errors, and the usage of “there” instead of “their”, and “your” instead of “you’re”. Both of these stick out to me like a sore thumb.

    @ WT_Support,

Should you read this, we would be more than happy to help you with anything graphene related. If we provide a “solution” which doesn’t work for you, simply say so. It happens a lot. No need for excessive rants and incoherent ramblings. Yes, we do this for free. Yes, we have other obligations outside of the forum. Yes, we are strapped to the limit with life, the universe, and everything!

However, we still make time to help those in the community.

I was wondering if you’d catch that.

I didn’t think it would be possible, but you just excelled by huge leaps and bounds in my “coolness” book!!

    I LOVE that song!

This goes in my next podcast.

    I LOVE that song!

It’s late and I’m tired and I missed something here. Please, sir, may I have more enlightenment?

However, we still make time to help those in the community.

The most important part of our work here: building and maintaining community.
