How to switch between dropdown or select menu

As simple as that… How do I switch betwee a dropdown or select menu on the header menu for Neo. When I look at the Navigation Options it says the following and I dont know what to make of this:

<select> element for menu

Using <select> element for menu allows you to have any number of menu items without crowding the layout.

If you enable that option, then select menu will be used. If it’s not enabled (the default setting), then dropdown menu will be used.

can you explain where I can the select menu. I do not see this option. I dont see it in the same area as the text I pasted in my original post above. thank you

let me clarify…I dont see where I can change the header navigation from “select” to “drop down”. The option is not available in the Neo Navigattion Settings
