I found only one thread directly related to this (https://forum.graphene-theme.com/graphene-support/how-to-remove-a-background-on-a-specific-sidebar). I attempted all the recommended methods in that thread, but none worked.

I want to remove the white box around the “Sermons Online” image. I tried the recommended CSS code options in the “Custom CSS” section of the theme options, and then I tried them in the CSS file for the child theme. Neither location worked. Baffling. What else can I try?

EDIT —

Forgot to mention: that box is the widgeted area that appeared after ticking the action hook area for above the side bar (cf. https://forum.graphene-theme.com/graphene-support/image-wont-align-center#post-28137).
