How to remove website title text from header

I am an experienced Graphene user and have done a search on this prior to posting this. I see the same older info.

I just completed a fresh new install of WP with Graphene theme.

There used to be an easy checkbox to remove site title/description text from the header in Appearance > Header. But I don’t see it there anymore. What happened to the checkbox? Does it have anything to do with the fact I changed the default header size?

I went to another WordPress website I run to see if I could find it there but it isn’t there either. Has something changed? I have been through Graphene Options and I can’t seem to locate this.

    Thanks for your help.

Sorry , I found it. It was in Customize Site Identity.

FWIW, WordPress has recently decided that any theme hosted in the wordpress.org theme repository (and this include Graphene) has to use the theme customizer, rather than its own settings page. WordPress has also moved some core functions there. So if you can’t find something and you know it used to be there, it’s probably in the customizer.

    Ken,

Yes, since I do not change themes, site name, headers, etc. frequently, that is not a setting I look for. I almost pulled my hair out looking for it going through every Graphene option.

It didn’t occur to me that WordPress might have forced the change into their own Customizer area. I accidentally stumbled onto it when I was doing something else.

    Thanks for the reply.
