Is there any possibility to hide some specific posts on the slider, i.e., to decide on a post basis if yes or no the post should be displayed on the slider ?

Create a special category (e.g. ‘Featured’) for posts to be displayed in the slider, assign posts to be displayed on the slider to that category, and select that category as the “Category to show in slider” in the theme’s options page.
