Hi there 🙂

I tried to do the same front page that you have done on your website: https://forum.graphene-theme.com/

(that’s mean for me: 1 sliders, 1 Welcome custom Text, x pictures with text to explain the different section).

So after reading a lot of things, i saw that I have to create my own static front page ? Is it true ? Or this is just one way to do it?

After created my ugly frontpage, I tried to put the sliders on it so I added on my wordpress a new graphene-child.

But even with all this documention, i’m feel far of the result, is there another to do that ?

At this moment i’m stuck on the file functions.php where i have to define on which page I wish show my sliders.

And even after that, i guess I’ll have to code a bit to recreate a text-box + x Links with picture ?

So that’s why I ask your help :$

If I missed something could you please tell me.

Follow this post to have a static frontpage with homepage panes. – http://www.prasannasp.net/how-to-enable-homepage-panes-in-graphene-theme/ The homepage pane image will be taken from the first image of the gallery of that post/page or featured image, if you have one.

You don’t have to edit theme files. Just go to Graphene Options –> Slider Options and select Show specific posts/pages . Then enter the ID of your pages in Posts and/or pages to display

It’s me again sorry but i still missunderstood something 🙁

There is 4 sections: Documentation // Features & Functionalities/ Layout & Formatting / Help & Support.

What kind of doc are they ? I mean is it Page or Post ?

I tried to do the same thing, but if i create a page, the link [Read more…] wont go the category that i wish

I tried to do with an post, but it’s not good either.

Any tips to help me?

They are pages.

Where do you want the link to go? Link to that page, or an external page like category archive?
