How do I link a click button in the Graphene Theme to a particular post category?

I’m learning the difference between pages and posts…but how do I link a clck or navigation button to a particular category, so posts appear separately depending on which button you click?

http://www.defcon1blog.com is my blog. I want to have some posts ONLY appear under the Global Militaryr button, and other posts appear only under either the Global Crime or Global Power buttons. Thanks!
