How do I add a PDF to my site as a link.

When I add a file it shows the file as an image but I would like it to be a clickable link.

Upload it to the media gallery and then link to it in your post using the link provided when you upload it.

Marking thread as resolved. You can do this yourself as well.

There are plugins, btw, which will add a nice little icon to these links. Or you can do it yourself via Custom CSS.
